April was a blur—work deadlines, conference travel, a biopsy, a goodbye, allergy season... and still, the gym light stayed on.
I trained every week day except for one week due to severe allergies! Protein stayed high. Water stayed high. My weight went up a bit, but I’m chalking that up to stress, inflammation, and new muscle. I showed up even when I didn’t feel great.
Highlights:
✅ Kept tracking macros daily with ChatGPT’s help
💻 Attended a GIS conference in Atlanta
💪 Stayed consistent with DLB Daily lifting: back/biceps, legs, delts, chest
🩺 Biopsy results were benign (huge relief)
🕊️ Said goodbye to my great aunt Wilma
Being 40 means navigating perimenopause, recovery, grief, hormones, and work—all while parenting and trying to eat enough protein. There’s no perfect balance, just showing up where I can. Progress isn’t always visible, but it’s always being made.
If you're trying to stay consistent with your goals—health, career, or otherwise—grace and grit go a long way.
